Your annual 0.15% Dodl charge (£1 per month minimum) is based on the value of your investments and calculated and collected monthly from the available cash in your account. 📅 Since it's based on the value of your investments, you won’t be charged until you start to invest. And because the charge is calculated and collected monthly, it’ll be spread out across the whole year.

It’s calculated by taking the average value of the investments in your account on the last working day of the month. For example, if your investment value is £12,000, your Dodl charge (0.15%) would be £18 for the year, so you’ll pay £1.50 that month (your monthly charge would change as your investments value changes!).

If you open a Dodl account and start investing part way through the month, your Dodl charge for that first month will be proportional to the number of days your cash has been invested for. This also applies to the Dodl minimum charge of £1 per month, so your very first Dodl charge could be less than this!

And a final small reminder: make sure you keep a little cash floating in your account to cover your Dodl charge when it’s due. Don’t worry, you’ll be given a heads up when charges are about to be taken.
