A Product Summary is a guide to help you understand a fund before you invest. It’s created by the fund provider and explains the key things you need to know, like what the investment is, the level of risk, what it costs, and how it might perform.

This is a new document, being introduced under FCA rules and is designed to be clearer and easier to read than the current Key Investor Information Document (KIID), while still making it easy to compare similar investments. Product Summaries will fully replace KIDs by June 2027.

From 6 April 2026, some funds will have a Product Summary instead of a KIID. Both documents do the same job – they help you understand the investment and the risks – just in a slightly different format.

You can view the Product Summary (or KIID) on the fund’s page before you invest, and we’ll also send it to you after you’ve bought the fund for future reference.
