How do I close my account(s)?

It’d be a shame to see you go, so if there's anything the team can do to support you with your account, always get in touch. 🀝

But if your mind's made up, it's a simple email to hello@dodl.co.uk to let the team know that you'd like to close your account.

☝ Your account will need to be empty before we can close it

If you’ve still got investments, you'll need to sell them, wait for the cash to arrive in your account (this may take up to four working days), then withdraw your cash. Most withdrawals are paid to your bank account within 1 working day. However, some withdrawals (for example lifetime ISAs) need a little more work and could take 5-10 working days.

With your account totally empty you'll need to contact the team to close it (it won't automatically close if empty), and they'll be able to get this started for you. It can take up to ten working days for the team to fully close your account. ⏲

Once your account is closed, and it’s the only Dodl account you had, your Dodl profile will also be closed and you’ll no longer be able to log in to the app. If you have any other Dodl accounts still open then you'll be able to log in and manage these as usual.

Just so you know, for reporting and regulatory reasons, some of your data will need to be kept safely with Dodl for up to ten years after you close your account. For more details on how we keep your data safe, have a read through the privacy policy. πŸ“‘
